PLANS FOR 2025
Well its a third of the way through January 2025 so its a good idea to start planning for the new year and also set out the steps for the new 2-3 years when I hope to transition from my current full time career into full time artist. Well that’s the plan anyway :-).
So this year the only event I plan to take part in is the Emsworth Arts Trail held on April 26/27 and May 3/4/5. So as per usual I have to crack on a get some paintings finished and also start a new ‘This Britain number 11’. I had planned to stop working on the landscapes but I find that having a rented space at Bosham Walk craft centre that it might be a good idea to have an art print based on Bosham harbour. At the moment this rented space is costing me more that I am making in any sales, and in general sales are not great (so feel free to pop along and buy a print). So whilst I am still working and I can afford the rented space I will treat it as a marketing outlet.
So one of the plans for 2024 is to set up an online shop to sell prints, which is why I bought (invested) myself new printer that can produce Giclee quality prints :-). Also I now have a business account which is something I have been considering for a while. Currently each year, any sales I have made hasn’t covered even the basic outlay and truly zero profit, in fact very much in the negative as I spent so much more that I make in the prints sale from the Emsworth Arts Trail or the Bosham Walk. But it’s not about making any money - well not at the moment.
Also, I have sent my vibrating painting below to get framed and I will pop it up for sale during the art trail.
