Countdown to this years Emsworth Artstrail (1)

There’s nothing like a deadline to create a little focus, this years Emsworth Arts Trail is looming and trying my best to have at least a couple of new pieces ready. A new job, two daughters with houses that need assistance from dad and time disappears surprising quickly.

Nearly finished on “This Britain” number 8. I think I started this at least 2 years ago, I had to wait for a couple of return visits to the Goodwood races to conduct further research and this time round leaving with a little more money that I had going in.

WIP on This Britain number 8……

Had a wet muddy mountain bike ride up to where ‘This Britain’ number 10 is inspired by, needed to have really close study of one of the main features in this painting- the rather old and battered tree. On the images below I put paint to canvas on the tree which has been left to last, a little worrying as to whether it works but in for a penny….
