It's not long before the highly anticipated Emsworth Arts Trail takes place, specifically on the weekend dates of April 26-27 and the following weekend of May 3, 4, and 5th. As is customary for me during this time, I find myself in a bit of a rush to complete some of my newer paintings before the event arrives. To complicate matters further, we have an exciting trip planned to explore the fascinating sites in Egypt, which will inevitably take a significant chunk of time away from my studio work. Regardless of these challenges, I have been diligently busy producing new collector card Giclee prints and experimenting with creating some larger format prints to sell. My Canon printer, which I purchased at the beginning of this year, certainly needs to start justifying the investment I made in it.

So back to the new ‘This Britain Shorts’ paintings. The smaller format is great as I can have this up on a small desk easel and when I have a little downtime during the day working from home I can do a small amount here and there.

The first 3 new paintings in progress - I think you can get the theme of the new series.

It all adds up and progress is okay and I am having fun painting these chickens. All three should be ready for the end of April.
